The Dan Lowry 400
If ever there was an ending to a race that pissed off every member of NASCAR nation, it was this one. With Dale Earnhardt Jr. leading with less than ten laps to go, Kyle Busch got underneath his left rear quarter panel and spun Junior around. In the chaos, Clint Bowyer shot under Busch and wound up coasting to victory as thousands of Earnhardt supporters jeered Busch with slurs and one-fingered salutes. While I think that Junior was probably spun out intentionally by Busch, I don't feel sorry for him or his fans. He is at best a mediocre driver whose whole career has been forged from his father's achievements, and yet thousands of boozed up drunks from the Carolinas think that he is the second coming. He isn't; get over it.
