Dontrelle Willis and Tim Donaghy are both in the same situation; at the bottom of the proverbial totem pole. Dontrelle is to the American League what Barry Zito is to the National League; an overpaid pitcher who performed better in his previous league. Willis was demoted all the way down to single A. Not only have the Tigers lost hope in Dontrelle, but they don't have the confidence to send him down to AAA or at least AA. Dontrelle's ERA this season is over 10 and he has only started four games. Maybe Willis will return to his 2005 form when he won 22 games, but I think that his glory days are behind him; as the Tigers.
Tim Donaghy felt it necessary to take the fun out of the NBA Finals. Just when his gambling story had fallen out of the spotlight, Donaghy added fuel to the fire by stating that two other referees were in on the scheme as well. Tim Donaghy was once a good referee, but now he is just trying to get back at his former employer and bring down David Stern. Stern's proclamation that Donaghy was a lone "rogue agent" are now thrown out the window. Tim Donaghy needs to go away and stop wrecking a game that millions of Americans love.
